- SEPTEMBER 23: We are excited to return for a 5th time to the annual Day of Play event sponsored by the Children’s Discovery Museum and PNC Bank in uptown Normal on Saturday, September 23. The event starts at 10 AM and goes till 3 PM. Join us for a great time of connecting with young families in our area. We will offer many learning activities for children where they can vote for their favorite cartoon, play a matching game of famous national historic sites, play an interactive quiz game on American History, dress up like Abraham Lincoln or Betsy Ross, win prizes, and get free goodies. Volunteers for the 8:00-10:00 Slot will help set up our tent and are welcome to stay and help work the tent too. Those who sign up for the 2:00-4:00 slot will help pack up when the event ends at 3 PM. When we receive our exact location, we will email all our volunteers.
