Time for Summer Parade Walks!

In America, summer means parades. With parades come McLean County Republican parade walks! From Memorial Day to Labor Day each summer, proud Republicans show their colors in area parades. Our first trooping of the colors will be at the Bloomington Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 29. Won't you join us?

We will have our ever-popular McLean County Republicans float to accompany us. Walking the parade route should take about an hour. We walk from Downtown Bloomington to Miller Park. Participants may ride on the float if they can't walk.

The float, car decorating and parade lineup will take place on the 200 block of Front Street (between Madison and Prairie Streets) starting at 8:00 AM. It will be easy to find us; look for our float pulled by Jim Fisher's signature yellow convertible.

The parade starts at 9:00 AM and culminates with a Memorial Day Ceremony at Miller Park Bandstand. We expect a limited number of MCGOP T-shirts will be available for marchers. Wear red or Republican regalia. You don't need to sign up. Just show up, and away we go! Plans are also being made to participate in other celebrations across the county, including holidays such as July 4 and Labor Day.

Please join us! No reservations are necessary; show up dressed in RED if possible.
