Over 160 Republicans from across the county gathered at the historic farmhouse of George and Jeanie Wendt on a glorious Sunday afternoon.  Enjoying barbecue sandwiches and ice cream everyone enjoyed a relaxing time visiting and shopping.  Our Restore Illinois Shop was there to provide lots of ways to "express yourself".  Roasting marshmallows and playing games of tossing bean bags was a treat for the kids and adults alike.  The evening was topped off with hearing an update from Chairman Connie Beard on all that has been going on over the last few months and what's coming.  We then heard from County Sheriff Candidate Matt Lane as he shared his vision for serving.  Brandon Hepner spoke for Governor candidate Paul Schimpf.  We then heard State Senator Darren Bailey share his vision for serving as Governor of Illinois.  The last speaker was Ty Smith, radio host and YouTube personality, who encouraged and inspired us all.
