MCGOP Launches Election Headquarters and Shop

Republicans Open 2024 Election Headquarters-Shop

Bloomington, IL – September 4, 2024 – The McLean County Republicans held a grand opening of their newly revamped Restore Illinois Shop, a key hub for political campaign materials leading into the crucial autumn election campaign. The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by U.S. Congressman Darin LaHood at the McLean County Republican Headquarters, 211 S. Prospect, Suite 9, in Bloomington.

The Restore Illinois Shop offers a wide array of campaign materials, including yard signs, buttons, stickers, caps, flags, and more, all available to help support Republican candidates from local races to national campaigns. Many items are free, while others are available for a small donation to support the efforts of the McLean County Republicans.

The shop will be open Monday through Thursday and on Saturdays through the November 5th election, offering voters a chance to pick up campaign gear, chat, and learn more about the various political candidates and the offices they are running for.

"The opening of our election headquarters and shop marks the official kickoff to the election season for conservatives in Central Illinois," said Connie Beard, former Chairperson of the McLean County Republicans and event manager. "It's a chance for every voter to gear up, get their campaign materials, and prepare to make a difference in the upcoming elections."

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Congressman Darin LaHood emphasized the importance of voter turnout, noting, "The success of every campaign—from county to national—will depend on the average American’s participation. If Central Illinois conservatives come out and vote, it will have a major impact on the outcome of elections for county, state, and national candidates."

Regan Deering, candidate for Illinois General Assembly House District 88, also addressed the crowd of about 50 attendees. Deering, an unwavering advocate for conservative values and freedoms, expressed the importance of the upcoming election to the country's future. As a former small business owner, she intimately understands how lower taxes and government reform can unleash prosperity for all.

In addition, McLean County Board candidates and Executive Board members of the McLean County Republicans attended the event.

Established many years ago, the shop has become a central resource for local conservatives and those committed to supporting Republican candidates.

The Restore Illinois Shop is open to the public and will offer free campaign literature. Donations through purchases of campaign materials will directly support efforts to keep McLean County RED in the upcoming election.
