The more I watch the Democrats rally around their clueless candidate for president – Kamala Harris – the more I believe they are trying to “pull a big one” on American voters. Their campaign is nothing short of a carnival of curiosities that focuses on the mysterious and bizarre, featuring oddities, fortune tellers, sideshow performers, and exotic creatures. It is a Big Top Circus with a ringmaster, clowns, acrobats, and animal trainers masquerading under a grand red and white striped tent that we all know to be blue. Under the Democrat’s Big Top, each act is more dazzling and bizarre than the last, yet filled with illusion, distraction, and sleight of hand. Under the bright lights of this political showpiece, the performers aim to captivate the audience with promises of progressive wonders, but behind the glittering spectacle lies a circus that threatens to upend the very principles of American democracy.
At the center of the stage stands the ringmaster – their presidential candidate—an empty suit playing the leading role. Her voice rings out with promises of ending inequality, averting climate catastrophe, and dismantling systemic injustices. With a theatrical wave of the hand, she pledges to make all things new – “free healthcare for all,” “climate justice,” and “equity” – as if these grand solutions could be conjured from thin air, ignoring any thought of cost or feasibility.
Flanking the ringmaster are the Democrat senatorial candidates—the lion tamers of this political circus. They crack their whips of “wealth taxes” and “green new deals,” lashing out at the industries that fuel the economy. Each act edges closer to a radical brand of socialism, attempting to tame capitalism itself. Their audience—made up of fervent progressive activists—cheers as they take aim at fossil fuels, billionaires, and traditional values. Meanwhile, the working-class Americans, the true backbone of the country, watch in dismay, wondering if they, too, will soon be thrown to the lions.
And then there are the Democrat congressional candidates—the acrobats and jugglers of policies. Watch as they hop about and toss around initiatives like “defund the police,” open-border proposals, and student loan forgiveness. Each idea is flung higher, yet they struggle to balance or catch them all. Instead, their act thrives on buzzwords, juggling “justice,” “equality,” and “diversity” without ever clarifying how these ideals will coalesce into workable policies. The gullible among the audience remain captivated, but the cracks in the performance begin to show as each promise teeters, threatening to collapse under the weight of reality.
Among this circus’s most peculiar and recognizable performers is the entourage of clowns—those mischievous figures whose central role is to entertain while spreading confusion. But these clowns aren’t the harmless jesters of a children’s carnival. In this political circus, they symbolize those who twist the truth, using humor, exaggeration, and deception to amuse the crowd while misleading them at every turn.
These clowns, with their painted faces and oversized shoes, shuffle into the spotlight whenever the Democratic campaign’s narrative starts to falter. As unemployment rises or inflation worsens, and when the promises of “free” services begin to test the public’s patience, the clowns step in to distract. They toss out one-liners, filled with falsehoods and half-truths, meant to keep the crowd laughing instead of thinking critically.
Their comedy routines often begin by mocking Republicans, turning serious concerns like the economy, border security, and rising crime into punchlines. Each jab at “greedy billionaires” or “backward conservatives” distorts the truth into something unrecognizable. Many of the crowd roar with laughter, unaware they’re being misled. The clowns create a diversion, making it seem as though Republican concerns aren’t serious or worth addressing—when, in reality, these are the very issues impacting everyday Americans.
When the presidential candidate, the Ringmaster, stumbles or overpromises, the clowns rush in to cover up each faux pas. “It’s just a misunderstanding!” they shout, tossing pies or juggling absurd excuses. “We didn’t mean defund the police—we meant reimagine policing!” they declare with a wink, twisting words to turn harmful policies into harmless jokes. The audience, entertained and deceived, never pauses to question the real impact of these proposals. Instead, they’re caught up in the spectacle. These clowns excel at turning lies into laughter.
Lurking in the shadows are the circus barkers—the mainstream media—faithful stooges who echo the Ringmaster’s claims and amplify her every word. They shout to the crowd with booming voices, presenting this carnival as the only show in town. They conveniently ignore the rigged games behind the scenes and the steep price of admission for middle-class families. Media outlets work tirelessly to silence dissent, painting the performance as flawless while turning a blind eye to the chaos unfolding backstage.
Left-leaning pollsters are the carnival’s fortune tellers, peering into crystal balls clouded by wishful thinking. They predict massive crowds and inevitable Democratic victories while overlooking the voters who see through the circus master’s sleight of hand. Their forecasts comfort the performers. To the skeptical, however, these predictions feel more like staged illusions than genuine insights into what the American people truly want.
The carnival’s fortune tellers are the political pundits shrouded in the mystique of expertise. Seated in dimly lit tents, they peer into crystal balls and tarot cards with dramatic flair, forecasting a bright future for the nation—but only if their favored candidates win. Their act of foresight, or at least the illusion of it, promises that today’s problems will disappear with the election of their progressive stars.
Seated behind velvet curtains, these pundits craft narratives of utopia, conjuring visions of universal healthcare, environmental salvation, and social justice for all. Their crystal balls reflect the smiling faces of every demographic, thriving in a world devoid of inequality and oppression. They prophesy a time when the wealthy finally pay their fair share, racial divisions disappear, and the government assumes a benevolent, all-encompassing role in addressing every societal ill. The future, they assert, is bright and prosperous—if only the American people are astute enough to follow their recommended path and elect their chosen fellows.
Throughout the performance, the Democratic candidates march to the rhythm of familiar political themes: climate change hangs like a looming tightrope overhead, and wealth inequality takes center stage in the center ring. They advocate for revolution while promising a utopia where everything is free—but the actual costs lie concealed behind the big-top curtains, destined to be borne by future generations.
Meanwhile, skeptical Republican onlookers on the periphery shake their heads at the spectacle unfolding before them. They recognize the runaway spending, the erosion of liberties, and the threats to American traditions that this circus embodies. They understand that while the Democrats entertain the crowd, a harsh reality awaits—one that can’t be easily ignored once the show ends and it’s time to pay the piper.
In this tumultuous political circus, the Democratic Big Top promises spectacle and grandeur, but it’s nothing but smoke and mirrors for those who look closely. While many American people revel in the show, they will all soon realize this carnival comes at a hefty price.
